Hi, I am Carla Duclos, a photographer based in Amsterdam.
I am passionate about photography. I started to photograph with a DSLR camera in 2009 and I got hooked immediately. I have being developing myself through self-study, online and presencial courses and a lot of practice.
In 2018 I decided to expand, and besides the photography for the websites and social media, I choose to work with portraits, doing photo sessions in Amsterdam with travellers and people living here, registering moments with their family, new born, pregnancy and doing life style photo shootings. I also expanded to create portraits to be used as an avatar for professionals to be used on social media, their resumes and website. And I decided to also help local business to standout with beautiful photography for their social media an websites working with product, food and interior photography. You can see my Portfolio here.
I can help and I would love to help you registering your personal or business story in Amsterdam through my photography.
I am a happily married person since 2002 and a proud mother of 2 kids, 4 and 7 years old, both born in the Netherlands. I love exploring the city with them and learning through their eyes. I moved from Sao Paulo, Brazil, to Amsterdam, the Netherlands, in 2007 and had an instant match with the city. I love living here.
Now, let’s talk about some other passions? I am passionate about coffee, food and pregnancy related topics.
If you ask me: Slow coffee or espresso? I will answer: coffee, good coffee. So, I love to learn about it, prepare it at home and also to explore the several coffee places in Amsterdam, that are part of a scene that has been growing a lot in the last years.
As with coffee, I love to learn about it, cook and explore places to eat in Amsterdam. That passion is the origin from my Food Blog, in Portuguese, Entre Panelas.
Pregnancy related topics
Yep, since I learned about a movement in Brazil that stands for a gentle labour, respect for the woman wishes, body and that place the woman as the center piece of its pregnancy and labour, I started to read about the topic and got fascinated about it.
It’s hard to believe that we need a movement to get in place what is the basic, but the reality in Brazil was so bad that this was indeed very much needed. And to this day, a lot still need to be done.
Two kids after and no plans to get pregnant again, I still read and like to see content about it.
Art and travel
And besides all this, I love art, I love traveling. Exploring the excellent museums in Amsterdam is one of my favorite things to do on my free time.
