Veldskoene or 'vellies' as locals call them are synonymous with being South African. First made in the 17th century by the first Dutch settlers to South Africa, they are known for their tough nature and can be worn for everyday use.

Our locally made High Top Vellies have a heavy 'stitch down' pattern on a rugged sole resulting in a comfortable but long-lasting shoe. Completed in full cowhide, we use a padded insole for extra comfort. Lined from heel to toe with leather suede, and with soles made from a hard-wearing rubber compound, the shoes are durable and well-supported.

All our Sanga Collection footwear is handmade made from cowhides that have been hygienically tanned to international quality standards. They are enduring, water-resistant and easy to clean, simply wipe with warm soapy water when necessary.
