Lovely aromatics swirl from the glass, roses and violets, raspberry, brick dust and hazelnut, blood orange, nothing overt. There's gentle sweetness on the palate, with a fine linear thread of acidity and silky tannins that fan and flow over the tongue. Then a lingering and graceful conclusion. Elegance yet also a level of gravitas. Outstanding. Drink 2023–2040

Beautiful balance and restraint, with a Burgundian sensibility. Cooling mineral palate, balsamic, cherry jus, black tea, and red rose. There’s such fine detail nestled in seamless weight, and svelte but high chalky tannins laced with cherry and black tea. Incredible complexity and elegance within a long gentle finish. A brilliant Barolo."
