DESIGN----This is a single bank manifold,the main purpose is for vacuum with hose connections at the end,The vacuum line is usually closed at one end and attached a vacuum pump at the other.In between the manifold and the pump there should be a cold trap to prevent the solvent vapors from contaminating the vacuum pump.There are multi ports with 0-4mm high vacuum valves delivery ports have 10mm serrated hose connections.
USE------Vacuum manifold is the key component of the schlenk line which is a commonly chemistry apparatus used to manipulate moisture-and air-sensitive compounds with vacuum in organic, inorganic and bioorganic chemistry.In a schlenk line,a cold trap is placed in between the manifold and the vacuum trap.The reaction lines are attached to reaction flasks or tubes via heavy-wall rubber tubing.
DIMENSIONS----This double vacuum gas manifold is designed with 0-4mm high vacuum valves on the ports.Main tube is made from 22mm medium wall tubing with 10mm serrated hose connections both ends open.It is designed with 3,4,5 portsfor options which are spaced 100mm center to center.Distance between stopcocks is 100mm.
HEAVY WALL ---This vauum gas manifold is heavy-wall designed , made by hand-blowing according to ASTM E438 ,made of high-quality borosilicate glass and annealed at 800 degree Celsius ,can be heated directly in an open flame and can withstand typical laboratory thermal variations in Chemistry processes like heating and cooling,durable and reusable.
