ISHKAR and Skateistan have joined forces to create a limited capsule collection of handmade Afghan rugs — where age-old craft meets contemporary design, and artistry becomes a vehicle for impact.

30% of proceeds from the collection will be donated to Skateistan, helping provide safe spaces, skateboarding programs and education for children in at-risk communities.

The Omid flatweave rug, meaning hope, features bold shapes in earthy tones, reminiscent of Afghanistan's mountainous landscape and contemporary skate ramps alike. Also available as a wall-hanging tapestry.

Spun from raw Ghazni wool, this rug has been finely handwoven by master weavers in the city of Mazar-e Sharif in Afghanistan.
