An elegant Regency period side table, finished in black lacquer and beautifully adorned with intricate gilt-painted foliate scrolls and delicate flowerhead motifs. The decoration has mellowed gracefully.

The rectangular top sits above a single frieze drawer with matching gilt detailing and retains its original lock. The table is raised on slender, square tapering legs.

There is some damage to one leg and evidence of historic woodworm, both of which have been professionally assessed, treated and are clearly shown in the accompanying photographs.
