A vintage pale yellow sapphire and diamond engagement ring. A cushion-cut light yellow sapphire centres this ring, it is secured in an 18ct yellow gold claw-setting with a weight of 4.75 carats, encircled by a cluster of seventeen matching round-cut diamonds that are secured in grain settings and have a combined weight of 0.32 carats. Soft yellow tones are evenly dispersed throughout the sapphire and the gemstone is further flattered with tapering shoulders, an vintage carved gallery and an open back-holing. Tested 18ct yellow gold, circa 1950.
