ECU has SKIM security and requires programming before installation. We offer free programming. Just supply your VIN at checkout in the "notes to seller" and we'll get our programmers on it! **NOTE** With these Promaster ecu's there is a good chance that even if we program your VIN into the unit a P0513 may pop up. If this happens you will need to seek out your local locksmith as you will need to get two new keys, have them programmed along with having the locksmith program a new transponder identification code into them as well. Make sure you need an ecu before going through this process as it is expensive.**

Tech Notes

ECU has been tested with our state of the art vehicle simulator which tests over 25 circuits of the ECU! Some of those are listed below:
• Alternator charging system has bee tested and rebuilt if necessary!
• Reference Voltage Good!
• ECU powered up and has communication!
• ECU fuel pump/main relay test good!
• ECU injectors/coils test good and much more!

Install Notes

• Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. Make sure the battery connector is not touching the battery post.
• Disconnect and remove the module to be replaced.
• Install and connect the replacement module.
• Connect the negative terminal of the battery.
• See "Programming" below for additional install instructions.

Programming 

For Plug and Play you must follow the below steps:

Step 1: Match your part number series per above fitment guide

Step 2: Your ecu has skim so it will need programming or you will get a crank no start.

Step 3: Program ecu to your VIN and mileage. Your local dealer or certified mechanic will be able to handle this although we offer "free" programming as well. Just leave your VIN in the "notes to seller" field that you'll find during checkout and our programmers will take if from there! **NOTE** With these Promaster ecu's there is a good chance that even if we program your VIN into the unit a P0513 may pop up. Item Condition

• Mounting points are all open and intact
• Pins perfect, none are broken or bent
• Connectors may some small chips in the plastic but all of the lock tabs are in place

This ECM comes with a 90 day warranty from the date of purchase. Please keep a copy of your purchase record which we will send with your item.

If you would like to return your core for a $10 partial refund let us know during checkout through the "notes to seller" and we will send a prepaid return label with your order. Once your original item comes in we will process your refund promptly.
