92-94 Points, Jasper Morris – “A deeper ruby colour. This is still in barrel after a touch of reduction, which is slowly dropping out. An extra pinpoint of acidity here, more power than the Chaffots, plenty of wine in the glass. Considerable pepper at the back but will integrate with this amount of fruit."

91-93 Points, Neal Martin (Vinous – Galloni) – “The 2024 Gevrey-Chambertin Fonteny 1er Cru was due racking, so there was quite a bit of reduction on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins and exquisite balance. Gently grip, very smooth, quite classic in style towards the finish; this lingers beautifully in the mouth. Within touching distance of the previous vintage.”
