This cheekpiece has a D-shape. The dee rings ensure that the mouthpiece lies calm and stable in the horse’s mouth. The pressure of the cheekpieces against the cheek makes it easier to turn by automatically pushing the horse’s head in the right direction.

This makes the bit suitable for young horses.  Made from sweet iron which oxidizes easily, encourages salivation, helps bit acceptance as it is warm and sweet.  Please note the blue will fade with use.
