We only recommend sizing up if your boy tends to need more room in the waist/hip area with his shorts. These also come with mesh pockets and a workable drawstring! * We do not typically recommend sizing up if between sizes— you really want swim suits to fit snug as they stretch and sag when wet and you do not want them falling off 💦.
