Lie, Sit, Stand, Be StillThis long expressionistic poem was written by the Beat Generation poet Michael McClure in response to studies of female nudes by the celebrated sculptor Robert Graham. The drawings were made into a suite of lithographs, the most substantial body of graphic work to be covered by this important artist. The prints are interleaved with sheets bearing the poem and are presented in a portfolio box with the sculpture mounted on the lid.
