Minerva Box leather is from Badalassi Carlo tannery in Tuscany, Italy. The Minerva Box has beautiful pebbled pattern and semi-gloss effect. Vegetable-tanned leather is tanned with bark extract, brewed with animal fat, then dyed with clear aniline, followed by air-dried and polished. 
Minerva Box is said to be the softest of vegetable-tanned leather, characterized by "natural milled pattern". It's soft, tight, oily; it has natural surface grain, and each has growth pattern. The leather’s color becomes darker, much more textured, and more sophisticated after being used. Compared to chrome-tanned leather, the Minerva Box leather's edge is neat, and it becomes glowing after polish. Even if it is worn, it could be refreshed again by simple polishing. There is no need to concern about the cracking problem of chrome-tanned leather because it won’t be found on the Minerva Box Leather.
